Nokia banks on more advanced Windows phones in smartphone race

Nokia pointed to the advanced features in the new Lumia 920 and 820 models the phone-maker introduced on Wednesday as part of its partnership with Microsoft and its Windows 8 platform. The 920 includes an improved camera, a wireless charging pod, plus map and driving applications that use augmented-reality technology. But investors were shaken when Nokia CEO Stephen Elop failed to divulge the exact ship date of the new handsets or their price and where they will be sold.
