AAFP responds to proposed 2014 Medicare fee schedule

AAFP Board Chair Glen Stream, M.D., sent the Academy's response to the proposed 2014 Medicare physician fee schedule to the CMS, outlining its positions on complex chronic care management services, E&M codes, quality reporting and other issues important to family physicians. Stream said the CMS proposal promotes the value of primary care but still includes a 24.4% pay cut related to the flawed sustainable growth rate formula.
