Analysis: Why Sears' Kardashian Kollection was a flop

Having the ubiquitous Kardashians sponsor a Sears collection harkened back to the company's 1981 turnaround credited to Cheryl Tiegs' clothing line, but couldn't duplicate the success, according to this analysis. After its August 2011 introduction, the Kardashian Kollection failed to help Sears stem the mounting quarterly losses. Tiegs was involved with the 1981 line's development and provided a mix of wholesomeness and sexy, while the Kardashians operate almost exclusively in the latter.
