Arthritis, recovery benefits seen in tart cherry juice

Scientists believe antioxidants in tart cherry juice can help muscles recover after exercise and ward off arthritis. In a study, people who drank the juice had the antioxidant, called anthocyanin, in their blood plasma, but further research is needed to determine if the juice is directly responsible or if it is causing a reaction that is then delivering the benefit.
