Google to study small websites' search-rank issues

Google is soliciting feedback from small websites that have trouble appearing high up in search rankings as it looks at whether larger sites have an unfair advantage. Matt Cutts, distinguished engineer at Google, put out a call for feedback from owners of high-quality small sites to put in writing why they feel their sites should be higher up than sites that currently rank above them. The move is aimed at gathering insight from a wide range of websites, Cutts said.
