Mazor reports first use of Renaissance device in brain surgery

A patient with Parkinson's disease at a hospital in Florida has become the first to undergo a brain procedure using Mazor Robotics' Renaissance system to implant a deep brain stimulation device that will treat the debilitating effects of the disease. The company aims for a wider commercial release of the device next year for use in brain surgery.
