Real estate developer donates $200 million to University of Mich.

The University of Michigan has received the largest gift in its history -- $200 million -- from real estate developer Stephen M. Ross. Part of the gift will go toward the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, with the rest dedicated to athletics, including new sports facilities to be renamed as the Stephen M. Ross Athletic Campus. Ross, founder and chairman of the Related Companies, graduated from the university in 1962 with an undergraduate degree in business.
