As images replace text as the language people use to communicate on the Web, small businesses can better connect with their fans by sharing photos on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook, Apu Gupta writes. Make your brand relatable by posting photos of your employees at work behind the scenes and solicit images from your followers to share on your feed. Images of vintage products that make fans nostalgic for childhood are also a good conversation-starter, Gupta adds.
