Trial begins for Spinal Modulation's pain management device

Spinal Modulation has begun patient enrollment in a clinical study to test whether its Axium neurostimulator device is safe and effective in treating patients with chronic lower limb pain. The trial will involve as many as 152 patients from up to 25 clinical sites in the U.S. St. Jude Medical has distribution rights for the technology, which could be added to its pain management portfolio if cleared in the U.S. and Europe.
