U.S. Federal Reserve report cautiously upbeat on economy

The U.S. Federal Reserve's latest assessment of the nation's economy notes modest but significant enough progress to raise the chances of early tapering in the Fed's bond-buying program. The Beige Book report noted progress in consumer spending, on the jobs front and in the key housing market.
