USDA: 14.5% of households were "food insecure" in 2012

Millions of Americans struggle to feed themselves and their families, according to a Department of Agriculture report that found about 17.6 million households were "food insecure" last year. Although about 47 million people used food stamps last year, some lawmakers are considering reining in the food stamp program.
