W.Va. industries look to boost student interest in manufacturing

The key to growing West Virginia's manufacturing industry is to reach out to students and help them see the variety of careers available to them, said David Satterfield, director of asset development in the West Virginia University Office of Research and Economic Development, during a recent economic forum. He noted that more than 150 students will visit manufacturing facilities this fall in hopes of inspiring interest in the field.
