Zuckerberg tells Parse devs that Facebook wants to do more than distribute apps

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg made a surprise appearance at the first Parse Developer Day, telling attendees the company wants to go beyond simply distributing third-party applications. "Parse addresses those issues, Zuckerberg said, by eliminating the pain for developers and letting them just focus on building a great app," Zach Miners writes. Backed by the social media company, Parse will provide new analytics and task scheduling products, with other offerings on the way.
