Consolidated Freightways fallout: Customers face higher prices

Former customers of recently defunct Consolidated Freightways are scrambling to complete shipments and facing higher prices because competitors Yellow and Roadway charge more. Transportation analysts say Consolidated lacked the low-cost infrastructure necessary to justify their lower prices.
