Denver schools launch asthma screenings

Denver Public Schools are screening students for asthma in hopes of helping children learn to control the disease and reducing absenteeism. Nationwide, asthma caused children aged 5 to 17 to miss 12.8 million schooldays in 2003, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
