Monsanto, Iowa State resolve soybean patent dispute

Monsanto Co. and Iowa State University say they have resolved a legal dispute over the school's patents for soybeans with a low content of linolenic acid. Monsanto said it never used technology patented by the university but settled to keep the dispute from escalating. Monsanto said it used publicly available germplasm to create its soybean.
