USA TODAY takes the widget plunge

USA TODAY reportedly has become the first major newspaper to develop widgets that can be installed on users' personal sites and use Flash technology. The widgets, which match up with social networks and blogging platforms such as Facebook, MySpace and TypePad, are meant to be ad-driven, but the paper hasn't yet signed any advertisers for them.
