German partnership reports progress in carbon-capture technology

RWE, BASF and Linde announced they have successfully tested technology that is 20% more energy efficient than current methods to capture carbon dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants. The test came at RWE's pilot plant in Cologne, Germany. The partners plan to install the technology at demonstration facilities by 2015 and commercialize it by 2020.
