Plant-based low-carb diets are seen as healthier than meat-based diets

A 20-year study indicates that low-carb diets rich in vegetables are healthier than low-carb diets based on heavy meat consumption. People who consumed a low-carb, vegetable-based diet saw lower rates of cardiovascular and cancer deaths, while the animal-based low-carb diet increased the risk of cancer and death.
