Urbanspoon takes on OpenTable in Los Angeles

Urbanspoon is going up against industry leader OpenTable as it seeks to sign trendy Los Angeles eateries to its local reservation service, called Rezbook. The company hopes to fill a niche among younger foodies looking for the latest in experimental dining experiences. Restaurateur Mark Gold is a recent Rezbook convert who says he doesn't plan to renew with OpenTable because his staff at Eva Restaurant finds the new service easier to use.
