Enrollment troubles plague new virtual school in Tennessee

A variety of glitches are delaying the enrollment of close to 50% of the 2,000 students in the new Tennessee Virtual Academy, the state's first public online school. Problems range from difficulties with the submission of various parental forms to the refusal of some districts to approve late transfer requests from students. Officials also said more students than expected were attempting to enroll in the new school, which began classes on Aug. 8.
