A cordless, battery-operated string trimmer may be easier to operate than its gasoline counterparts, Ken Willis writes in this blog post. The 40-volt Ryobi trimmer/edger takes less effort to start up, and it eliminates the need for gasoline and certain repairs. The trimmer uses a 0.65 line, which may perform differently on some tasks than the 0.80 or 0.90 lines used in gas-powered trimmers, this article notes.
