FDA approves medical devices from 5 Ga. companies

Five medical devices developed by medtech manufacturers in the Atlanta area have obtained regulatory approval from the FDA. These include Opti Medical Systems' Opti CCA-TS2 device, which is used to monitor blood gases and acidity, and Endochoice's Autoband Ligator system, designed for use in urology and gastroenterology.
