India's mobile ad spend forecast to rise 43%

Less expensive smartphones and affordable data plans are providing a boost to phone usage and mobile advertising in India, with spending likely to grow 43% by the end of March, according to the MMA. "Mobile is today the only medium that can deliver high reach, high engagement and high efficiency -- all of this in a personalized manner," said C.V.L. Srinivas, chief executive of GroupM, South Asia.
