Iowa city council eyes restriction on liquor licenses

The Davenport, Iowa, City Council is considering limiting liquor licenses downtown by implementing a distance requirement of at least one-quarter mile between carryout liquor stores. The community has voiced support for the ordinance, which has backing from the council Community Development Committee.
