Many pediatric patients don't take medication as prescribed

A review in the journal Pediatrics found many younger patients with chronic conditions, including diabetes and asthma, do not take drugs as prescribed, raising their risk of health complications. "The results of this study have implications for children, their parents and their health care providers. In all, multi-disciplinary approaches to adherence promotion are an important part of providing optimal medical care," said lead author Meghan McGrady.
