New York's federal courts are close to crisis, report says

The federal courts in New York City and Long Island are "on the brink of crisis" because of funding cuts, according to a report by the New York County Lawyers' Association. The hours of security officers have been cut and some equipment has been done away with, creating "a substantial risk to the safety and security of judges, employees, jurors, and litigants," the report said.
