NIH backs development of cloud-based "corelab of the future"

The NIH has awarded Heart Imaging Technologies a grant worth $2.5 million to set up a "corelab of the future." The goal is to merge image quality assurance, endpoint analysis reporting and related workflows into a cloud-based network that "provides support for all imaging corelab activities and integration into [electronic data capture systems]," the firm said in a release.
