VA bonus practices under scrutiny

A congressional field hearing scheduled for Pittsburgh next week will focus on bonuses that Veterans Affairs administrators received despite five preventable patient deaths. The House Veterans Affairs Committee recently launched a website to highlight what panel chairman Jeff Miller, R-Fla., called the "VA's long and well-documented history of rewarding failure."
