Hotels deny cell-phone signal blocking

While some suspect that hotels are blocking cell-phone signals to recoup substantial losses from the decline of in-room phone use, hotel owners strongly deny the allegations. Many properties already offer free local calls and high-speed Internet access and evidence is scant that hotels use cell-phone-blocking devices, which are illegal in the United States.
