Editorial: FDA Plan B decision choice of politics over science

The resignation of the director of women's health issues at the FDA over the agency's refusal to take a stance on the Plan B pill is another demonstration of the Bush administration's tendency to choose politics over science, the Los Angeles Times writes in an editorial. "Almost all doctors" reject the idea that morning-after contraception amounts to abortion, the editorial said, but a minority that believes otherwise "holds disproportionate sway in the Bush administration."
