New Quaker oatmeal stresses weight control

Pepsico's Quaker Oats unveiled a line extension of its oatmeal breakfast cereal that claims 25% more whole grain, fiber and protein content that can reduce feelings of hunger later in the morning. "A quarter of our consumers already connect oatmeal with weight management," the company's marketing vice president, noting the new formulation was a "natural evolution" for the brand.
