Digirad commences trial of new imaging tool

Digirad Corp. has started initial clinical trials of new imaging tool Cardius X-ACT, which is designed to correct image distortion and reduce imaging time and radiation dose during cardiac SPECT imaging. Two other clinical trials are planned for the new tool, which is expected on the market by mid-2009 pending regulatory clearance, the company said.
