Nearly 500 volunteers in Texas's Cypress-Fairbanks district successfully re-enrolled 15 dropouts as they visited the homes of students who hadn't shown up for school this fall. The district is the third-largest in the state yet has a 89% graduation rate. "It's our moral obligation to educate our children," said Superintendent David Anthony. "If we know there are students who dropped out and don't do anything to get them back, shame on us."
