Chevron presents evidence to back allegations in Ecuador case

Chevron submitted videotapes and e-mails to Ecuador's government that it says support claims of a bribery scandal related to the $27 billion environmental-damage lawsuit the company is facing. This comes as Juan Nunez, the judge presiding over the case, withdrew from proceedings last week after Chevron released a video of him discussing ruling against the firm. Chevron is requesting that Ecuadorean authorities investigate the alleged scheme, which the firm says implicates Nunez "as well as ruling party and government officials."
