Tennessee district encourages Spanish learning with pilot program

Some schools in a Tennessee district have launched a pilot program offering high-school credit to middle-school students for completing Spanish courses. Educators say students could be able to enroll in Spanish II as ninth-graders under the plan. "It opens up a lot of opportunities for the students that they didn't have before," said one principal.
