Are business leaders the enemy of innovation?

Consciously or otherwise, business leaders have a vested interest in the status quo, argues Jeffrey Phillips. Most managers have predictable processes in place to handle their workers and their companies, and disruptive innovation poses a threat to that comfortable existence. Still, Phillips writes, most management structures are actually more flexible than bosses believe -- so leaders should give innovation a chance and see if their management tactics can adjust accordingly.
