Consumers are focused on saving money

With shoppers in all income brackets saying they are worse off than they were a year ago, cost cutting and bargain shopping remain priorities. Research from SymphonyIRI finds a majority of consumers choosing sale items over favorite brands and 46% of households with incomes over $100,000 reporting they will shop more at supercenters such as Wal-Mart and SuperTarget.
