Report: MTVN is discontinuing its Urge music service

Viacom's MTV Networks, according to this report, has decided to discontinue its Urge service, a group of 50 music channels that were grouped by genre, such as "Smooth Jazz" and "Classic Country." MTVN did not comment for this article, but Verizon Communications has been telling its FiOS subscribers that Urge would be shut down "due to the provider's decision to discontinue the service."
