Districts test online, one-on-one professional development

This month, 200 algebra teachers in three districts will begin using an online professional-development program that will offer immediate, one-on-one assistance as they plan lessons or need help with algebra topics and classroom management. The pilot program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, will compare teachers who use the MyLivePD program and those who do not to determine whether such professional-development programs are effective.
