Nordion CEO shares corporate updates

Canadian medical isotope company Nordion said it is seeing success with the company's TheraSphere treatment, a targeted therapy for liver cancer that delivers radiation-emitting beads to areas near tumors. The company also said it is now recovering from its losses last year, a sign that its medical-isotope business is picking up. CEO Steve West said the firm's location in Ottawa provides a "unique capability to leverage the foreign embassies" in the capital, but the lack of investors in Canada also poses a problem.
