NYC instructors learn how to implement common core standards

Teachers in New York City received training Wednesday on how to implement the Common Core State Standards in the classroom. The standards were tested in 100 schools last year, and are being rolled out citywide this year. Schools were provided with resources and training materials, but principals were able to develop their own training for teachers. Most states are implementing the standards.
