Obama's jobs plan should include shale gas, ACC's Dooley says

President Barack Obama's jobs speech today will likely ignore shale gas as a key component in boosting U.S. manufacturing, writes American Chemistry Council President and CEO Cal Dooley. Cheaper energy from the vast domestic shale gas supply has been key in generating manufacturing jobs, he argues. "There is one thing President Obama can do that is already proven to grow manufacturing jobs -- he can commit to support shale gas production and work hard to encourage states to do the same," Dooley writes.
