Mobile takes a big share of online back-to-school spending

Mobile sales accounted for more than 15% of online sales during the back-to-school shopping months of July and August, according to IBM. The performance suggests that the surge in m-commerce over the last holiday season was no fluke, said Jay Henderson, global strategy program director at IBM. "We have seen strong performance from mobile throughout the year, and back-to-school is no exception," Henderson said, predicting a 20% share for mobile sales this holiday season.
