Los Angeles wants LAX plan approved before design proposals

The Los Angeles City Council voted against a fast-track proposal for Mayor Hahn's $9 billion renovation plan for Los Angeles International Airport, saying that design work should not be done until the plan is approved. The Airport Commission had voted to solicit designs for the modernization before the final plan was approved.
