SAT racial parity hard to achieve across Maryland district

In Anne Arundel County, Md., the SAT achievement gap is virtually unchanged over the last three years, although the number of minority students taking the college entrance test has increased by two-thirds. While the SAT gap at Meade High School fell from 87 points to 61 points during that period, black students at Annapolis High School this year scored almost 300 points lower than whites, a disparity nearly three times what it was in 2003.
