HBO drama set in a gritty Baltimore school

The fourth season of HBO's dramatic series "The Wire," which premieres this Sunday, will follow four inner-city Baltimore teens as they struggle to survive in their blighted neighborhood and a dysfunctional middle school. The story line is inspired by the experiences of writer and producer Edward Burns, a former Baltimore homicide detective who spent seven years as a middle-school social studies teacher.
