Lavish exit gifts await Fannie and Freddie CEOs

The executives departing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac may see an enormous payday now that the government has seized the mortgage finance companies. Freddie's CEO, Richard Syron, could get an exit package of $14.1 million or more, due in large part to a fresh clause in his employment contract. The bailout, a boon to the housing market, also bolsters Asian central banks and other investors overseas.
