Many parents concerned about children's mental health

The behavior of one in five boys and one in ten girls prompted their parents to ask educators or health professionals about possible mental-health issues in 2005 and 2006, according to a new National Center for Health Statistics survey. Mental-health experts expressed surprise at how common such questions were, and were uncertain whether they reflected a healthier attitude toward such issues or overly narrow standards of expected behavior.
