Jobless levels continue to remain high for people with disabilities

Department of Labor figures show that the unemployment rate for people with disabilities is higher than the overall unemployment rate. The August rate of unemployment for people with disabilities was 16.9%; the national average was 9.3%. The department began tracking unemployment rates for people with disabilities in October.
